Notice From June 2024 AFT is free for sim, replay, and NinjaTrader demo account trading only paid for live and prop firm trading.
Free for-evaluation trading is now no longer available for various reasons below:

  1. It is mostly impossible to distinguish a prop firm evaluation trading account from a live trading performance account with many prop firms with Rithmic and Tradovate
  2. Most Prop firms did not pay they took all the traffic but didn’t want to pay out except for Apex who was 100% trustworthy  – trading Legends is brand new and 100% Trusted
  3. It was also impossible to see who had used our coupon and who had not so we could not reconcile who was contributing and who was using it free
  4. The prop firm payout sum of fees collected was too small, not even the cost of 1 monthly user subscription, so imagine over time 100s of traders trying and not paying and wanting support, this was not viable.
  5. Quality Affiliate partners are being invited and the question over referrals on prop firms can be isolated.

What can you set you apart and put you in the top 20% of traders – the winners?

Get a routine make it a habit, it will make you or break you!
So make sure it is a good habit!

Have a trade plan:

  1. capital and risk per trade
  2. Set the trading goals, and loss limits for the day and week
  3. select the system and instruments
  4. system template & Workspaces
  5. Schedule when to be at the trading desk and set the system in action and when to pause.

Pre-Session

  • Check the prior session and view a higher time frame analysis to get the bigger picture of the story of the market
  • Set a bias for the session long or short
  • Get the system ready lots and risk and limits 1 trade only or multiple
  • Get the trade controllers ready for action with the controls you use at the ready
  • Assess if the open is a high probability setup and entry
  • Decide to go in half clip or full risk to your plan
  • Decide to wait for the first 30 minutes or 5min or 1 minute of the open.

Tactics

  • let trades run to the close -scale out
  • Increase accuracy and limit drawdowns
  • use AlphaWebTrader for correlations and technicals
  • trade less not more – trade smarter!

Trade Diary Stats and notes

  • For each trade make a screenshot of the entry and any other timeframes
  • note the levels, trends, and correlations of technicals, price cycles, market news cycles
  • Do this for the exits too! and note the winner or loser… mistake or fair trade.

    1. Each day pre-session download and get fresh data
    2. use the instrument manager and a list
    3. or refresh the data on the charts!

To stay in sync across multiple desktop PCs this task needs to be performed each day every day pre-session.
Typically download the last 2 days and on weekends download the last 7 to 15 days to get the corrections and back fills.

NinjaTrader Automated Trading with desktop mobile and web

AlgoFuturesTrader provides NinjaTrader Automated Trading in fully automatic, semi-automatic, and manual trade entry with full automatic trade management modes. Hybrid Trading Controller user Interfaces allow full control of NT8 Desktop algo trading, but in addition, AFT provides the ability to allow you to work remotely via NinjaTrader web or NinjaTrader desktop while AFT8 runs on your NinjaTrader desktop at home or the office or a server:

NinjaTrader Automated Trading/Triple Control

  • View monitor and control your trades via NT web and NT mobile,
  • PLUS you can take new trades on the NT  web/ mobile

AFT8 Advanced Automated Fault Tolerant trade manager will place the exits, breakeven stops, trailing stops, and time-based exits, contract expiry exits, it will also deal with overfills, underfills, and stuck orders. Automatic startup with NinjaTrader as long as there is a valid connection it will perform its tasks via NT 8 Desktop.   AFT8 will replace canceled orders and make sure the balance of entry and exits is correct. Normal strategies in NT will close and halt if you start to close positions, if you cancel orders they will not be replaced, in addition, it would go out of sync with the real underlying account if you add new positions and would not safeguard the exits – allowing unlimited loss. AFT8 solves this problem by allowing local control and interaction in real-time as well as remotely via the NT web and NT mobile tools – it does this by using the low-level API layers of NinjaTrader and providing full control real-time hybrid trading – direct from the pioneers of hybrid automated trading!
