AFT8 Advanced Automated Fault Tolerant trade manager will place the exits, breakeven stops, trailing stops, and time-based exits, contract expiry exits. It will also deal with overfills, underfills, and stuck orders. Automatic startup with NinjaTrader as long as there is a valid connection, it will perform its tasks via NT 8 Desktop. AFT8 will replace canceled orders and ensure the balance of entry and exits is correct. Normal strategies in NT will close and halt if you start to close positions. If you cancel orders, they will not be replaced. In addition, it would go out of sync with the real underlying account if you add new positions and would not safeguard the exits – allowing unlimited loss. AFT8 solves this problem by allowing local control and interaction in real-time as well as remotely via the NT web and NT mobile tools. It does this by using the low-level API layers of NinjaTrader and providing full control real-time hybrid trading – direct from the pioneers of hybrid automated trading!

how did the fib grid technology and trade systems get invented?

The proprietary Fib Grid and Range Grid technology first came to mind in 2007 when working for TCA Futures (RIP) in a trading arcade in the City of London – UK’s Wall St. It was conceived in response to a reprimand from the S&P500 desk head trader. He was fuming and publicly criticized me in front of some 120 other traders after hours in the daily retrospective. He’d seen my appalling trade via his CQG trade desk admin module, questioning why I was trading long at the top of the market, one hour out, quite near the end of the session. It was obvious, but I thought, how do you know where the top of the market is? Later that night, I envisioned the Fib Grid and Range Grid to show me. Back then, it was Excel and CQG, and here we are with NinjaTrader from 2009 to 2024. It’s still my core methodology, battle-tested in institutional, hedge fund, and retail trading.

Fib Grid Session Breakout Basics

Around 2008/2009, I then worked on the concept of the Fib Grid session breakout, using it to prevent my ludicrous out-of-control scalping. Up to 1200 trade operations in one day was my record, plus burnout after TCA Futures as a privateer with MFGlobal. It made my broker rich and me a 35% account loss – Emini ES trading, not small change, it hurt badly. So I stopped and later was reborn as a day/swing trader, making 1 to 3 trades per day on the DSFG. This method is used in the ATS Discord groups as a core method to teach good habits and run the trades. Fib Grid made me and saved me, thank you to the head trader.

Note: From 2015, when I traded for managed futures/futures hedge funds, I used WSFG breakouts and MSG breakouts and let that go for several weeks/months. A Note on renewals for AFT8 lifetime

One-Time/Lifetime License & Renewals

Some traders elected a one-time payment or pay plan, and these will be maturing and completed over the coming weeks and months for those who bought back in time. Just as a reminder, the details are here for optional annual renewals to keep the lights on for cloud services, such as AWT, trading groups, and consumable ongoing overheads. Additionally, to provide upgrade assurance, support, and development services, and very cost-effective ways to cut costs for traders, it is necessary to implement annual maintenance.

  • AFT8 will notify traders of pending renewals on the AFT desktop and via popup. This is only related to live trading/live prop firm performance account usage.
  • AFT8 licenses not renewed will allow live trading uses but will not provide the full gamut of premium/ultimate features. Access to trading groups will also downgrade to free only, and no priority support or VIP level perks will be available.
  • Upgrade Assurance Traders will not be protected from the upgrade for AFT9 when NT9 rolls out, ETA 2025, if not the first edition sooner. Upgrades without assurance are around 50% of the full ticket.
  • AWT will cease to work in premium/ultimate mode after 1 year if it was bought as part of the ATS Ultimate/Premium combo, but it will be covered by the annual renewal.
  • The annual renewal covers all current and future product access within the subscription period it was purchased, e.g., 1 year.
  • There is no deadline to purchase an annual renewal, and traders can elect when and if to do this in their own time via their licensing or pricing page.

Optional Annual Renewal

  • Renewal dates are from 1 year after the license start date.
  • For pay plans with less than a 1-year period ending on the 12th month, the renewal is the same as a one-time purchase.
  • For any pay plans that were longer than 12 months, the date is 2 months after the end of the pay plan.
  • By popular demand, annual renewals can be purchased in subscriptions:

    • 3-month subscription
