This adjustment is another tweak to loosen the second bracket trail stop and remove the breakeven, which can be manually triggered via the AFT Easy Trader – Ninjabuddy GUI.
AFT will update itself on the next restart of NinjaTrader 7 or can be manually installed from the AFT NinjaTrader Downloads page.
Here we can see the Nasdaq micro futures hitting a daily goal with the wide, loose stop-loss. The system will pause for a period, then allow you to continue trading.
After testing this out today, it was noticed that the stop loss was too tight and should have been set at around 25% of the daily session Fibonacci grid so that the stop loss appears on the opposite side of the No Trade Zone.
The Target 1 was also moved out slightly to maintain the mathematical breakeven on the two-lot scale out and the last lot trail.
The AFT7 settings will self-update automatically when NT7 is restarted or can be installed/changed manually.
The AFT7 Settings/Workspaces are available for manual installation on the AFT downloads page to run manually. You spoke, and we listened and delivered. This time, we asked Tom Leeson of MicroTrends, a professional hedge fund algo trader and inventor of the AFT SFG Session Breakout style of trading system, to set up a workspace that he would personally consider tradeable for a semi-automated and fully automated approach with trader in attendance for day trading. This setup also utilizes the trend correlation market analyzer and a 4-view of MES, MYM, M2K, and MNQ micro futures. The system is set up to enter the market at NYSE open 9:30 AM and trade the morning session and afternoon optionally. The daily money management goal is a $200 USD profit lock per session, with 3 lots over 2 brackets. Apparently, the reason for this is that the first target takes out 66% of the position size, providing a mathematical profit breakeven without the need to trail in the stop loss, allowing the trade room to breathe.
This installer and workspaces now replace prior AFT room templates and workspaces. However, for those traders who want these, no panic; you can still install them from the workspace installer from the downloads page or via support.

Fixes have been rolled out for free users on SIM-only micro futures to address a problem with the auto allocation of licenses for trading with the AFT Algo Pro Trader module. The AFT Indicators worked, but the “AFT000” did not start.
Now fixed, to get started, all you have to do is open a workspace, and the system will be ready for fully or semi-automated trading for micro futures. AFT7 will automatically update itself to the next version when you restart NinjaTrader 7, or you can simply run the installer on the AFT downloads page.
